All in all was a decent production, Legend wasn't the best but he tried, Judas was pretty good. Norm Lewis as Caiaphas and Alice Cooper as Herod were the highlights.

if you're unfamiliar with the show I recommend the movie over this, though. They modernized the show in the 90s (it has stayed that way since) and I personally really don't like it

Huge fan, seen all the versions and seen it live in many different ways and thought this was one of the better versions. The OG Deep purple record is the best version no doubt but the older movie isn't actually any good to me. Neeley to me has always been overrated. I even preferred legend here . The revival in the 90s was bad too. Probably the worst version but I thought the staging ans set design of this version was outstanding.

And I thought Judas was one the best ones I've ever seen other then a tiny production I saw one time with a black woman (wish I knew her name) playing the role who blew the roof off the place.

Eh, the movie is great I thought. The concept album is my favorite as well and I thought it was the closest thing there is to it.

I'd rather someone do their own take on the role, I always felt like Ted Neeley was trying and failing at impersonating Ian Gillan. But to each his own.

Neeley is honestly crap but I love the rest of the cast so much I just ignore Neeley.

I thought Judas was great! Did Legend play Jesus? Weak voice, esp. compared to Ian Gillan, the Deep Purple singer who had the role on the original 1970 album. Fun production, though. The three women in gold dresses -- tres hot!

Alice Cooper looked pretty good for age 70; not a touch of gray! ;)

It was OK. Just my opinion, Legend does not have the charisma or acting chops to carry the role. I enjoyed his music but his vocal is not suited for this production. I love the stage set and the dancers. Judas was pretty good. Alice Cooper was fun to watch.

I couldn't watch more than 5 minutes of this. I hope this was a really big april fools joke. They tried to copy the aesthetic of the 2012 arena tour and missed the mark entirely.
