No. Thrawn Trilogy and X-Wing Trillogy was the best. But never existed. Sparkeld with some stand alone books like Shadows of the Empire.

Thanks ! :) I have noticed that all other Star Wars Tigole releases are below 3GB ( https://www.reddit.com/r/megalinks/search?q=star+wars+tigole&restrict_sr=on ). So why is "The Last Jedi" 5.2GB ? Did it require 70% more x265 data than each of the other x265 episodes ? (I don't think so) Or were all the other episodes encoded with less quality ? (in which case I hope they are reencoded with better parameters).

I think all Star Wars Tigole releases should be encoded with similar bitrates. At least for peace of mind ! (same for other "cult" sagas)

x265 isn't magic, its only twice as efficient as x264, meaning this is equivalent of a standard 10~GB rip.

i think some of it has to be that the old star wars bluray files (like the godfather) are only 20Gig files or so, so they used lower bitrate. usually tigole will use higher bcus they are good quality to keep instead of buyig the bluray. bluray files nowadays are like 40-60gig so theres alot more info to shrink down.

anyone else having trouble playing the regular audio track? commentary will play just fine but the regular will play for half a second then cut out for a minute. I've tried it on VLC, windows media player and the windows movie app. Is there a codec i need to download?

Under Linux MPV usually is the best for H265 HEVC for me although I am wondering how this compares to the 11 to 16gb h264 rips.

I will be streaming to my 4k TV via Plex over gigabit lan so bandwidth isn't of concern only the quality is.

what difference would it have made? you are desperately clinging to admiral ackbar because he is the one thing from past films that didn't change. you are clinging because having him do the stuff would fulfill your wishful thinking. he was not much important in the movie cannon and only ever got recognition due to his dialogue. All you wanted was something that reminded you of "the good old times". I agree that she was a weak link, but not because she was not replaced by some wishful thinking of your original trilogy but because she did everything wrong from explaining the plans to leading the people. Rest assured, even if she had been replaced by admiral ackbar, i would still be frustrated by the gross incompetence the writers forced upon the characters just for the sake of drama.

But...she didn't fly. She was in zero-gravity. She just used the Force to pull herself to safety. We know you can use the Force to move things with your mind, and we know from as far back as Return of the Jedi that Leia is strong in the Force like her brother. True but I'm just a big fan of star wars ever since I came to America as a kid and was so excited when I found out they are making more. But the way they made Luke out to be and they could of at least had some flashbacks of Luke training her in the force or something but we get nothing. But it is just a movie didn't mean to rant on. Enjoy the movie visual effect are amazing just wanted one last real fight a couple minutes long with Luke before they did that to him.
