That especially includes the genre, but also trailer, or imdb page, or youtube reviewers. Knowing what style/plot thread the movie contains/is set in before it gets the chance to unravel it for you in its own pace, severely lessens the impact of how the plot turns in the middle.

Just know that this is one of the best German movies around, and from a technical&cinematography standpoint, one of the best of the decade in general.
