How moronic have you got to be a to not be able to work out the tiny amount of effort required to make a Mega link work in order to download something?

I browse and download entirely via my phone on this subreddit and have never once found it beyond my comprehension how to make something work.

If you read the rules you'd see how and why various posters use different methods of masking links.

Self-entitlement at its worst, and we're a bunch of damn pirates.

Thanks for the upload, OP!

OK guy, there's the answer to the equation. Its "www.mega.nz/MK" *M and K just represent what M= and K=, please do not multiply M and K. LoL

I hate when people make riddles of posts. Why I have to solve some fckn equation just to download a movie?!

You could have politely asked for assistance but instead you chose to demean /u/igotsomegreypoupon and make a fool of yourself. He/She is a prolific poster who is simply taking basic precautions to protect their shared content in hopes it stays up for as long as possible. You should be thanking OP, not bitching about a simple "equation" that anyone with two brain cells to rub together can figure out.

in hopes it stays up for as long as possible.

I agree, but can't we only see posts for the last two weeks? That is, unless we search for something specific?

Hey dude I thanked OP firstly (you didn't take time to notice it right) , also that is somewhat true but honestly I'm fed up with people immitating Sherlock Holmes and Poirot FFS, last week dude posted some stuff with instructions to "DECODE IT SIX TIMES" honestly where this is going

Apparently you are not a regular, because as a regular this is super simple. It's not even decoded or a riddle and this style has been used over and over.

And when you are not a regular, you should maybe be politer, nobody owes you anything. Or you can simply fuck off. Sick of people complaining about people uploading stuff. What the fuck did you ever contribute? Fuck all

What's the riddle?

permalink

[-] Wintermutemancer | -13 points | Mar 13 2018 09:10:04

Well for starters, clicking on the "Public Link" does nothing, then what "Combine M + K" really means? How should I combine them? Come on people, I really appreciate the effort but there's really no sense in making things more complicated than Base 64 encode / decode.

When I put them together in Base64 decode (M + K = M: #F!Ym5hlADB!77ws3iNVMq3W5tg3SjECiQ ) I just get THIS SHIT PxTʷ[`( $

Public link is a descriptor, just like "other hosts" below it. the second column has the (really simple) instructions.

Combine M + K. add mega.nz/ to the start. that's it. they aren't base64 encoded, both file id (M) and decryption key (K) are plain text.

All you have to do is copy & paste.

[-] Wintermutemancer | -7 points | Mar 13 2018 09:54:48

Well thanks although in the meantime I figured that on my own - but there is no information on putting mega.nz/ in front of the garble. Since now every post relies on decoding the link thru base64, IDK why this one should do different. Nevermind though.

People shoud make instructions more clear, all I'm saying.

[-] igotsomegreypoupon | 5 points | Mar 13 2018 10:45:57

The instructions cover what you need to do based on how it's posted. You aren't told to add mega.nz because it's /r/megalinks and is expected knowledge. Posters use "password = name of this sub" for the same reason.

If it needs base64 decoding, you'll be told to decode it.

If it needs character replacement, you'll be told which ones.

If it needs a password, you'll be told to enter a password.

Ofcourse, but some people use Zippyshare, also almost ALL posters use base64 decode for hiding links.

permalink

[-] igotsomegreypoupon | 6 points | Mar 13 2018 12:40:31

Zippyshare was listed as coming soon when the post went up (as well as being in a separate table); the only other option was for it to be a Mega link.

View some other posts and see how their obfuscation is done - removing bold characters, removing phrases, replacing numbers/letters, password/captcha protected links.snahp.it, base64 encoded file id, base64 encoded decryption key, base64 encoded full url...and the rest. Adding 2 strings of text together with a domain is one of the oldest and simplest post styles there is.
