Install Photoshop as normal. Then open the patch and go to Applications folder and drag and drop Photoshop into the patch. It will say complete then you are golden.
I had no issues using latest version of macOS High Sierra.

FYI, much easier to use something like CCMaker. Not only does it download whatever Adobe program you want, it also patches them for you.
Just an alternative :)

If I’m not mistaken CCMaker is a Windows only option. I did use that on Windows tho.
