i dont know about that encode, but i would suggest downloading 1 episode from both of these collections, and see which you find better.. generally in my experience UTR/QxR are good encodes..

I compared both 101 en 601s and this one is better. It's a bit more smooth, meaning it loses just a liiiitle a bit of detail, but the other one has a lot of grainy-jumpy areas, making the image rather restless and unstable.
Edit: this one does have weird subs, though: any multi-line sub has its order reversed.

the problem with subs exists in the source files as well, unless someone fixes them manually, nothing can be done for them. I thought of fixing them, but without some kind of automation it is too much of work!

Hm, that's weird. But yeah, fixing subs for 7x22x20 minutes is way too much work to do manually.
Btw, I also noticed that some (less than 10 total) are 720p, any idea why that is?

exactly 4 are 720p, due to unavailability of 1080p sources for those episodes, or 1080p episodes being corrupt.

S04E20 1080p rip is corrupted for last two minutes, the encoder had to use 720p rip. As for the other episodes, the 1080p sources arent avaialble, can check the sources on rarbg, the 1080p packs have 720p episodes for those episodes. I too was confused, but thats just how it is.

Are there SRT files? Or a way to export the subtitles to a text file, and reimport the subtitles after I fix them? I can write code to correct the reversed subtitles, if I can get them as text.

All soft-embedded. Exporting is possible, of course, but then you'd have to automate that too.

I looked around a little. The best hint I found was looking at an open source project to see how it reads and writes subtitles in MKV files. That's a higher level of effort that I'm willing to undertake at this time. It would be a fun little project, though. I'll post to this sub, if I come up with a solution.
It could be a single-function program like Reorder Subtitles So First Part Appears Higher.exe. Are there other, similar problems that come up regularly?
My objections to subtitles include size (too big or too small), font (weird jaggies, why?), and position (put them at the very bottom, dammit). I don't know if those are amenable to easy code fixes. If they are, and I can fix them, I'll do that for my own purposes.
Hmmm: There must be software out there already for doing this.
Any other common subtitle problems I should be looking to fix?
Baby Part 1 (s4e20) is broken in both Re-encode & QCQ releases, so at the very least this release has that over them.

Thanks for the upload. Just letting everyone know that something seems to be wrong with the subtitles when played in VLC. During dialogue in which two lines are shown at a time, what should be the top line is shown underneath what should be the bottom line. In other words, the subtitles read bottom to top, not top to bottom.
