prepay a month of directvnow for a $35 amazon fire tv 4k. Will play x265 4k 60fps. Have fun
Other option is $45 odroid c2 + power/emmc/sd/storage. Same processor as fire tv 4k minus one lesser used codec. Has ir/hdmi cec. Can run real linux or android.
On the laptop side of things you need any intel 7th gen or 8th gen. I have this from china and it's ight but it does play any file if I was to use it for that. You need to use kodi in windows atm, hevc hardware decoding won't work in linux until kodi 18. I use it to compliment my nice desktop. chuwi lapbook 14.1

you would have a beter chance of finding something on the cheap to play x264. x265 is still new and some cpu's cant decode it leaving it to software.

Yes my Android phones take care of mp4 but it really really struggles to play any mkv x264 or x265 mkv but can play 8k mp4

I sometimes do this myself while filling requests. Personally its bcoz if I find a mega link on another site, instead of downloading the file again and reuplaoding it (specially for large files) I just share the link I found. For Animation I don't think you'd notice to much difference. If you love the show, go best quality at x264 1080p....but if you just want to have it and watch it sometimes...720p for animation is fine and dandy.

Only if the number of DMCA notices sent directly to Reddit significantly increases or Reddit decides to crack down on copyright infringement as a whole (eg: banning all subs like /r/fullmovieson____ etc).
It sucks for MP though. admins said they would ban the community if they fail to address the problem which can't be done when your community revolves around copyright infringement & DMCA notices are sent over your head to reddit legal.
That being said the MP mods should've tried to make concessions. If a majority of your notices are coming from one or two content providers then you need to ban them from being posted. at least that way you can make it seem like you're trying to work with the admins on addressing the problem.

Is anyone else having trouble importing between accounts?
Importing hasn't been working for me like it used to lately. I either get a message saying I need to create an account (even though I'm already signed in to my account) or it imports the file into some sort of temporary account. If you're having the same issue, here's what's been working for me. I sign in to my Mega account, and then paste the link to the file I'm trying to import into the address bar of the tab displaying my open cloud drive. Then when that link opens, I'm able to import the file or files normally. Don't ask me why this works. Hope it helps.

So it appears that snahp.it is now handing out free malware with each visit as shown here being picked up by avast first second. I get these popups anytime I visit a snahp.it page including the link protector. Anyone know anything more about this? I tried messaging Iphunwa2 but no response

Have you got uBlock/AdBlock enabled? iPhunwa2 mentioned when the ads were implemented that the number of the ad networks they can use is very slim so you won't get "quality" ads.

popads should be present in an existing filter list somewhere but the garbage domain names (bskuriebsdb.com etc usually need to be added manually since there are so many floating around.

I have some 1080P -264 - Remux of movies. Now i can have same files in 4K - 265. I have plex running on shield tv. Reason iam thinking I'll save about 10 to 15 gb each movie. There is no big difference in 1080p and 4k on my tv. Tv upscale very good. But with 4k i get hdr.
So my question is. Should it download 4k or not. My home theatre is Atmos capable. 7.2.2

Hi, I have a similar setup, are you saying for you that the 4k 265, is smaller than the 1080p 264 and you don't notice much change in the viewing quality? I have stayed away from 265, however as I will run out of space at some point I am tempted to move to that to save Hd space

it varies, once i was using mega downloader i had limit of 5 gb almost all the time, now on mega sync it appears like there is no limit whatsoever, quite weird

The limit is based on network demands at MEGA, and can vary tremendously based on the time of day.
There are times I've gotten less than 5 GB, and then there's today where I have 10.5 GB in the last 6 hours.

I've never seen "to be repeated" so I don't know. If the source has been deleted, then it won't do anything.
Does anyone have a fix for mkv files getting choppy, with scratchy sound on VLCP? Used another player on my Laptop (Windows 10) and the only Audio track was Track 2, Commentary Track for the files with this problem.
