The phone I bought was the Samsung Galaxy Note ~~7~~ FE. The newer Samsung flagships are helluva lot more expensive so this is the best I can afford for my budget. I didn't get much resale value from my LG G4 thanks to the bootloop controversy.

Before I bought the phone, I downloaded a sample Jellyfish video that's small enough to be transferred over bluetooth/ShareIT, but high enough to make non-HEVC 10bit capable phones stutter. It was around 17Mb. The highest tier phones available in my country from Oppp and Vivo didn't cut it unfortunately. And the only way for me to buy a Google Pixel phone is through the grey market, which I'm trying to avoid because it has virtually no warranty and no way to get parts even if I pay for it.

Glad it was the right call not to get this phone. My experience in getting my sister's bootloop issue of her Samsung Note 4 was hard because it was bought through a grey market and parts here are different from parts abroad.

Any samsung s7 and newer will playback x265 without problems just get the right player.

The movie's 10 bit h.265. This is a format that makes it literally unplayable for non-flagship or old phones.

If your phone is incapable of playing 10bit h265 videos, it doesn’t matter where you play it. Plex is a fancy name of a stream server, like DLNA, but you still need the processing power to play the actual file.
