[-] stormarsenal | 9 points
Yes.
[-] dwarfgourami | 7 points
thanks! netflix hasn't been working for me on Microsoft Edge this past week so I'm glad I can still watch this in 1080p
[-] VoxPopuliCry | 21 points
Microsoft Edge
Why though?
[-] dwarfgourami | 25 points
because Chrome is capped at 720p. Edge and Internet Explorer are the only two browsers than can go up to 1080p. And the Netflix App always crashes for me.
[-] AxionTheGoon | 4 points
I was told Firefox can go to 1080p with netflix is that not true.
[-] dwarfgourami | 8 points
nope, firefox is still 720p
https://help.netflix.com/en/node/23742
Wait... what?! Chrome and Firefox can't handle 1080p, Edge and Internet Explorer can do it???? WTF!!
[-] AndreyDobra | 19 points
It's not about handling 1080p, it's about handling the DRM protection that Netflix is required by big studios on 1080p. Such is life
[-] TheMastodan | 3 points
I think Edge can go to 4k now with Kaby Lake or higher
[-] philips4350 | 1 points
You don't need kaby lake if you have nvidia Pascal gpu
[-] ScoobyDoNot | 3 points
Now I have a reason to use Edge.
[-] R3a1ityCheque | 12 points
Whats Edge? Is that the thing you use to install Chrome?!

Interesting, I had no idea. Is there not some kind of Chrome or FireFox extension to bypass this?
And why does Netflix not have a desktop app alternative to their site, like Spotify and other Steaming services?
[-] dwarfgourami | 2 points
Netflix has a desktop app, that's the app I was talking about that always crashes for me. I've uninstalled/installed it multiple times but it always freezes and crashes at the very first loading screen.
The iPhone app is fine for tv shows but I'd much rather watch movies on my laptop.
I would love to find a Chrome extension that lets me get 1080p Netflix but I haven't found one yet.
[-] PowderedWigMachine | 1 points
Oh weird, I didn't know they had one. Where can I download it from? I don't see it on their site.
[-] dwarfgourami | 3 points
the microsoft app store

Hey guys, I'm new to this how do you access the movie using megalink?
EDIT: Google Base64 decoder copy paste the encoded link then use it to get to the MEGAlink with the key to access the file.
[-] HugeLibertarian | 2 points
Which one is this a continuation to, Cloverfield or Cloverfield lane? I've seen the latter
[-] [deleted] | 3 points
Prequel
Ok then I'll be watching the original first, to build up the suspense for this one
[-] RaynSideways | 5 points
It's only kinda a prequel. They're all part of the same universe but there's some really fucky stuff going on so they don't really fit cleanly into a set order.
That said, for [spoiler] reasons, you should watch Cloverfield before Cloverfield Paradox. 10 Cloverfield Lane can probably be watched regardless of order.
That's right but only for spoiler reasons as you said, otherwise, it's very interesting to watch it: Cloverfield Paradox then Cloverfield then 10 Cloverfield Lane.
[-] RaynSideways | 2 points
Well, I think in Cloverfield Paradox the appearance of [spoiler] might not be a surprise/would lack the same impact if you haven't watched Cloverfield.
nothing to do with cloverfield, they are just generic movies rebranded with the cloverfield name.
[-] age_of_cage | 6 points
They've crowbarred a link to the original into this and, from what I understand, basically a way to explain any and all Cloverfield films being related.
Nice to see the Thing still getting work. I was wondering what it'd become since the Addams Family.

[-] bigtittygothbf | 1 points
Can you let me know if it is a good movie after you've watched it?
We all have different taste in movie, but I watched it at 12 Am when I couldn't sleep. I like it.

subs?
[-] Mythopiate | 4 points
Check MediaInfo. They're in there.
English, Spanish, French, German and Italian.
[-] VoxPopuliCry | 1 points
How does one access these subs? Are they hardcoded, or do I need to load a srt file?
[-] Mythopiate | 3 points
No, they are softcoded within the .mkv file. In VLC, you can switch between sub track by pressing the V key.
[-] VoxPopuliCry | 1 points
Thanks!
I hope the player I use (PotPlayer) has some way of switching these, it should...
[-] MrTattyBojangles | 2 points
For PotPlayer:
Right Click > Subtitles > Add/Select Subtitles or press L.
Alt+H to turn subtitles on.
Alt+L to cycle between subtitle tracks.

Great quality! Thanks, OP.
Also, not sure if it's just me but the audio was slightly out of sync but readjusting it to -500ms seemed to do the trick.
[-] LightSniper | 1 points
So which Cloverfield movie is this?
It's a new movie on Netflix. Cloverfield has become almost an anthology series, with each theater movie, and this movie being "in the same universe, but not necessarily connected". They drop in a monster as a callback only.
[-] LightSniper | 1 points
Thanks, I'm wondering if this is the 3rd film, after 10 Cloverfield Lane, or if I have missed one.
Technically it is the third film, but redirected to Netflix release.
The second, Cloverfield Lane, was originally written having NO connection to Cloverfield whatsoever. The project was later picked up by Bad Robot, and repurposed as part of this anthology idea. A few Cloverfield monster hints/Easter eggs were added before release.
Edit: to be clear, you haven't missed any :)

decode that base64, go to the URL that decoding it gives you, then when asked input the decryption key.

Not through this link, but I'm sure you can find somewhere else to stream it.
People that pirate use the number one excuse that cable companies suck and don't offer content on affordable and easy to access mediums.
But the truth is, they will pirate anything.
