How does the vastly superior Amazon version compare to the REATLA remasters?
REATLA is still the best IMO but only for S01 episodes 5-9, the Amazon release is good and can replace those blurry episodes.

You can see the blurry effect more around the top of his collar, but it's definitely throughout the entire image it almost looks like it's out of focus or as if the line art is plagued by the sort of ghosting effect you would find on a poorly aligned 3D image.
Q: Why do episodes 1-4 and 9-25 look ''blurry''?
A: The blurriness you're seeing is called haloing. This is how Nickelodeon released those DVD disks. We tried to reduce the haloing as much as we could but it's still noticeable. Additionally, the ''double line'' effect in episodes 1-4 is also a source issue that we can't really fix.

I think what u/TheCrach is saying is that the Remastered Version of ATLA in Season 1 has a double line blur effect except for episodes 5-9. The Amazon version doesn't have that issue, so it's superior to the Remastered version except for episodes 5-9.
I've done comparisons of both and if it weren't for Season 1's original double line issues, the remastered version would be superior to the Amazon's 1080p version.

I'm willing to give it a try. Can you at least confirm that RARBG subtitles work with it? Try grabbing some and moving to somewhere in the middle of the movie to see if it is still syncing. I'd appreciate it, especially since you picked it up from openload. I've had a real hit and miss experience with getting subtitles for those in the past.
If you use vlc it has a plug in that can get the subs for you based on the name of the release or the file hash tag.

I use that and several other sites for my subtitle searches. The problem is you can sometimes try out multiple releases and still fail to get the correct sync on a movie or show. That's why I always ask if the encoder (or uploader) can test their releases to see if anything works--because they would know better than anyone else what they have and it saves me from downloading gigs of data that counts against my cap but which I can't actually watch due to a lack of working subs. My cap is only 250 GB a month and I'm barely managing to stay under it these days. If I can save myself a 'bad' download I'd like to do so.
Also there are some things for which no subs can be found, for instance Impractical Jokers. The first several seasons simply do not have
Others have subs but none of the releases match any of the files I can find, like most King of the Hill releases which I have tried and failed at getting working properly multiple times.

I have Netflix, I just want an offline copy until I can buy it on Blu-ray, just have no idea how long it will be exclusive to streaming. 10/10 highly recommend watching it, it is kinda low budget. Guy goes back in time to 5th grade to save a classmate from being killed. Time travel stuff but also drama and a kind of innocent romance (he goes back as a child, not as an adult).

It's more accurate to the books. If you want to cheat, start with episode 8. Before that it's more or less the same. 8 has the car scene with the villain, but it goes more into his back story.

Holy cow! I'd happily take anything under 10GB (I've been getting around the 5GB mega limit somehow thankfully)!
I'm pretty sure anything is better that the YIFY file I have. It's okay, just not great (one of my favorite movies so I wanted to get it in nice quality!). Even if it's 3GB I'd happily take it!

If anyone has or can get ahold of an HD version of Friday that isn't the directors cut, I would be eternally grateful. As far as I know it has never been released on BluRay but some of the 1080p HDTV sourced uploads of other movies on here have me hopeful. The directors cut fucks up the flow and arguably the funniest scene of a true cult classic.
