From the introduction: "Linux came into being about 22 years ago - it was developed by Linux Tornados of Finland along with a group of programmers from the open source software movement." This is completely wrong!!! Linus Torvalds developed the operating system kernel that he originally wanted to name Freax, but later changed to Linux. AFTER its initial release it was picked up and worked on by the open source community and made it into what it is today. This was such a let down that I could not get over and immediately deleted this from my library."

This book is dated september 2016. The novice friendly Linux distorts mentioned are RedHat9 (2003) and Suse 8 (2004). No mention of Ubuntu, Mint or Elementary OS. Hopelessly outdated. Fraud ??

My guess would be, no - it's not very good.

Not very good. I am in agreement with the Amazon reviewers; despite being published in 2016, the content is hopelessly outdated.
