That's simply not true.
First of all, the audio takes only 4% (174MB) of the total file size. This is lossy AAC, not some lossless DTS:X or Dolby Atmos track.
Second, 10bit HDR can be crushed like crazy with x265 without sacrificing too much quality (especially if using 2-pass encoding). I've just tested this file on my 50'' 4K HDR TV and it looks more than fine.
Personally, I won't replace the file I already have with this one because I value the best quality possible, but this encode is more than enough for most people (aka people who doesn't have hundreds of GBs of storage available for movies but who wants some 4K HDR content for their new 4K TV) and saying this release/post is useless is just false and offending for the people who put time and effort into it.
Even if the file size to resolution ratio doesn't seem to make sense, let me reassure you that this release looks MUCH better than a 1080p Bluray Remux. Of course, HDR is partly why the image is just better, but the compression isn't too noticeable compared to a 16.6GB version of the same movie (but with a DTS-HD track that takes up to 14% of that)
PSA is a trustworthy release group and I've never found a shitty encode from them. Except maybe their 720p x265 HDTV/WEB rips but that's mainly because x265 is better with bigger resolution and 720p x265 encodes are almost useless to begin with. And also because they only have 2.0 audio and I much prefer surround.

No clue why people are up voting this. 4gb is unacceptable for even 1080p HDR.

waaaaah this is poor quality because this encode isn't by a jew and it's 3gb
Oh for fuck's sake, the only thing that matters is that it's fucking Dunkirk!!!
You sound like a whiny, entitled faggot. I hope Achmed throws you off a roof.

Would anyone mind uploading some screens to Imgur? I want to compare my Blu-Ray and this to Plex.

Not really anything to due with movie, but would it make it worth while to redownload this and other movies in x265 for the space savings?
I mean most of my movies are 10GB+...if i could cut the size in 1/2 i could essentially double what i have. I'm already pressed for space.

~~Then you haven't seen hard enough.~~
You probably meant the 4k version!
[-] Blastsail832 | 3 points
I'm guessing he meant the 4k hdr remux, which isn't posted on this sub yet
Ah you're probably right! I'll leave the comment just in case.

A remux of the 4k HDR version though?
I haven't honestly looked elsewhere, and will do so right now, but this is the first 4k version I've seen on here, 3.9gb though...
[-] Chase_Meister | 2 points
Thanks or the quick reply, but like Blastsail said I meant the 2160p Remux

Read it's filesize and weap I have this one too. They're remuxes, aka, Disk>File no change to the video or audio data.

You obviously don't know how x265 encoding works so just stop spouting off false BS and move on elswhere if you don't want to download this file.
720p looks bad if highly compressed with x265 because the HEVC standard was specifically made for UHD+ resolutions so the higher the resolution the better the compression, which in turn means you can crush the file to a much smaller size than you could with 720p (relatively to its original size), AND with a much better visual result.
This is highly simplified but something tells me you wouldn't understand anything more complicated anyway.
