John Coltrane recording with jazz guitarist Kenny Burrell & his quartet. Definitely an unusual record in the Coltrane catalog, this set is fairly quiet and contemplative. I always think of Burrell's guitar as a six-string accompaniment to a nightcap, one last shot of goodness before calling it quits for the day.

Orig. recorded in 1958, released in 1963. This edition 2xLP 180g 45RPM, Analogue Productions 2009 reissue.
