This IS NOT a upscale of this https://www.reddit.com/r/megalinks/comments/7lzxii/movie_song_of_the_south_1946_35mm_ntsc_dvd/
It is based off of the same source, but this is true 1080p
I've been working on this for a while and decided to release it publically. This contains a 4,500kbps x265 video track and 5 AC3 audio tracks, No subtitles work for this version due to it having a different sync
These audio tracks include
English [35mm]
Japanese [Laserdisc]
French [Sped up youtube video slowed down, low quality]
Spanish [Horrible VHS, Very Low Quality]
Brazilian Portuguese [VHS, Good Quality]
I have the European Portuguese and Italian dubs also, but decided not to put it here to save on space. If anyone has the German [Onkel Remus' Wunderland VHS] or the Cantonese dub [Rental Laserdisc] and can rip and send it to me, that would be amazing
[20gb MPEG2 Scan -> Virtualdub + Film Dirt Cleaner -> Sony Vegas + Color Correction + Sharpening -> 20gb AVC file -> 3.6gb HEVC]
The Film Dirt Cleaner was not used for animated segments due to it artifacting and damaging the animation in major ways.
If there is enough demand for the full 20gb AVC file I will upload it here, it will be uploaded to Myspleen.
Part of the 3rd animated segment was missing in the 35mm scan, the missing clip has been filled in using using a 1080p 16mm film scan

So much effort is appreciated. Shame that this film got tarnished by modern concerns. It's a beautiful classic with great songs and characters.

20GB, please! Thanks!
So it's not an upscale, but from the same source. I'm kinda noobish at this, but what makes the pq different? Like, how did you get the 1080p version if it's the same source for example?
I really appreciate the download though!

Holy shit, the work you put into this. I'm not likely to grab this as I've never seen it, but I appreciate what you've done. This is incredible.

Thank you very much for this. I've been hoping that I would be able to get into Myspleen for some time because there's so much stuff on there that I would love to add to my collection, but this was the one that I really wanted (well the 20GB AVC was what I was looking for technically but this is even better for me). Just wanted you to know how much people like me appreciate this.
Thanks a ton for this. I've heard so much about it. I can't wait to finally give it a watch.
