Apparently, VLC will not pickup audio output, at least in default settings. In VLC, press Ctrl + P > Audio > change Output Module from Automatic to DirectX.. one.

Sorry for dumb question, but blu-ray.com says the aspect ratio is 2.40:1, why does the REMUX have 16:9?

Scene releases (Blu-ray rips) are such that the black bars are cropped during the encoding process and then the aspect ratio from the media-info matches with the true aspect ratio that you see on those sites. A remux on the other hand is untouched so when you check the media-info, the aspect ratio is always 16:9 because the black bars are also part of the frame and accounted for.

I think the reason black bars are cropped in scene releases is that without removing them, the encoder uses additional resources to encode the black bar in each one of the image frame of the movie and the encoding process generally takes longer to complete while we gain nothing from this as the black bars are not part of the movie.

Remux (Blu-rays generally), have always a full 1080p 16:9, even though it might present black bars.
