Audio is significantly better than the previous x265 releases as I encoded it myself directly from a bluray source. You won't find this release anywhere else on the net.
The christmas special (S02E00) is encoded in 720p, CRF 25. I did find a 1080p x265 encode but it was encoded with CRF 31 (which means crappy quality). It has a low bitrate of 1068kbps and a file size of 471 MB (smaller than the 720p which is 547 MB). I personally prefer the 720p as it has a higher bitrate (and higher quality), though if anyone wants the 1080p one I'll upload it. If anyone has a good 1080p bluray (any codec) source / encode pls pm me. Thanks.

Is the 2005 Season 1 iteration of Dr. Who the best place for a person who hasn't seen Doctor Who to start?
It's not for everyone. Try that but if you're somehow turned off, watch from Season 5 first, go until Season 7 then go back to season 1 before watching the 50th anniversary special.

For getting into the 10th Doctor, yes. Season 1 sets up Rose and her supporting cast. Season 2 to 4, in my opinion, some fantastic TV. Well written, but a little lacking in budget.

Oh man thank you so much
I've been waiting for rips with better audio
Thank you for encoding and sharing. For such a cult show, I'm surprised how hard it is to find HQ rips.

Thank you!
Can anyone explain why this show in particular is known for jumping around for viewing? Only other show that comes to mind like that is some battle star galactica view orders. Why wouldn’t you start with the first air date from original series and work up? Thanks just always curious about this show

Every few seasons the main character (The Doctor) is "reborn", and a new actor takes over. This sometimes coincides with a new show-runner. In effect this can sometimes mean basically a reboot, or at least a significant change in tone, budget / prodution value and even genre (one tenure being more sci-fi, the next being more fantasy fairy tale).
The "new Dr Who" started in 2005 after a long break. "Classic Dr Who" ran from 1963–1989, then there was a movie in 1996, but in essence the entire franchise got rebooted in 2005. So this is one recommended starting point (it would be my recommendation), starting with the 9th Doctor (Christopher Eccleston), who unfortunately only had a single season.
The 10th Doctor (David Tennant) had a long run with several seasons and specials, and also in company of a broader TV universe. There were spin-off series which in part were also very good (Torchwood especially). During this run some characters of the broader TV universe ("Who-niverse") came back for an appearence in the show, so in order to grasp the entirety of the shared characters you should adhere to a particular viewing order.
The 11th Doctor (Matt Smith) saw a very noticable rise in production value, and basically all side characters were laid to rest, so it felt like another proper reboot. (There was a change in showrunner)
This Doctor was very popular, and many people who like this one the best recommend people not watching the previous series first, because one might be put off by how cheap and campy the show sometimes is.
In essence, there are many ways to approach the series. Be advised that, regardless of where you are in the series, there are always really good episodes and really really bad ones. And you should never forget the target audience: the broadest imaginable family TV entertainment in the UK.
This is an old comment of mine where I describe the different types of appeal of Doctor Who.

Do you have the Children in Need Special at all? Set between the end of S01E13 and S02E00. It should be on the BluRays I believe, if so could you please add to be uploaded :)

Thanks for these. I haven't started the show yet. Hope you do more.
