As someone from India where Marvel comics and DC Comics weren't easily available and expensive in my childhood, I want some advice from experienced comics experts. I have been a fan of Marvel and DC since I saw the oldest Batman/Superman/Spiderman/Xmen etc. movies(I don't even remember some of them). I also have seen the latest MCU and DC Movies and have SOME knowledge of the characters. I want to now read the source material and have heard great things about the golden age of comics. Can someone guide me how to enter this glorious universe and how to navigate it?(also, where to get the comics from)

Each person has a different way of navigating DC/Marvel universes but what I personally do is find reading orders of characters or teams I am interested in (Some orders can be found here and here) and when I find an order that interests me I download comics that follow the reading order.

As to how you can download the comics you are looking for there are a few different options:

You can download comics from here (the reading orders I create are meant to be new reader friendly if you are interested in the stuff I have uploaded. Also, they do not require any knowledge any reading orders)
Torrent sites such as thepiratebay.org and https://worldwidetorrents.me/ might have comics you are looking for
If you do not want to download the comics you can read them online either here or here

Also, if you do decide to download comics you will need a 'reader' in order to open the files which can be found here: http://www.cdisplayex.com/

Actually, I do have a Marvel NOW reading order that I have not uploaded yet. The way it is structured is slightly different but I would say it has the same amount of depth.

As for things past Marvel NOW (such as Marvel NOW 2.0 and All New Marvel) I am waiting for some more reading orders to be posted online so I have a basis for the chronology of each series.

Once I am done uploading my Flash and Superman orders I will see what I can do about uploading Marvel NOW.

there are some issues with these cbrs, the file name inside of some of them is like.

UXM_34_05.jpg
UXM_34_06_07.jpg
UXM_34_08.jpg

others are...

21.jpg
0809.jpg

1415.jpg

Both of the cbr readers on my tablet put the UXM_34_06_07.jpg at the very end of the comic. The second filename set doesn't work in any cbr reader I can find.

Not a deal breaker by any means, but its somewhat annoying...

Which issues have this problem for you? I have checked Ultimate X-Men 034 and i do not see those page names within the cbr file. In my cbr file the pages are named "Ultimate X-Men 034-006" and "Ultimate X-Men 034-007"

oddly enough it wasn't from this set, I somehow had another chronological copy of Ultimate comics that got meshed in with this set when I restored to my nas.... from what I've read of this set of comics I've not had this issue...

No, problem. That make sense. I usually see those file names from non-digital cbrs (I add a "-" between the numbers. Ex. 1213 becomes 12-13). Hopefully there are no issues like that in these files.

I've been changing the 1213 to 12, and then 14 is the next page. It seems to work best since I never extract the cbr/cbzs
