Everyone with sound problems: As many have said before; AAC 7.1 doesnt work with all players. MPC-HC, MPC-BE, MPV, MplayerX, Plex, Kodi and a bunch of others support it without problems. If your TV doesnt support it, you should either look into setting up a proper mediaserver like plex or just downmix the audio.

It’s 5 gigs so there should only be 25 or 26 parts. I downloaded it earlier and it’s working fine for me

VLC still doesn’t support 7.1 audio. You can either use their beta nightly builds, or use a different media player.

Not sure what you mean by "real release groups". UTR is quite possibly the best release group around for HEVC content, Tigole in particular.

I've never had any issues playing 7.1 audio through Plex, from UTR or otherwise. This file is no exception, so I guess it's a problem on your end.

VLC does indeed not support 7.1 (last time I checked). I'd recommend PotPlayer.

I'm assuming you've already downmixed the audio like you said in another comment. I'm sorry this happened to you and I hope you get to the bottom of it.

honestly vlc works fine with all my 7.1 channels when i plug my laptop into my receiver via hdmi, what's going wrong with yours? just curious.

I have a problem too. The audio is all messed up and is super glitchy
