Sorry then, I'm an idiot. I've only recently considered game development...I have not researched nor attempted it yet. Thanks for pointing this out to me..This motivates me a little more to actually make something out of it.

Unity is free as well and I feel slightly easier to start with. At least from my experience.

I think Amazon Lumberyard is also free?
(a branch off of CryEngine 3.8.x(?), it's what Star Citizen[heavily modified] is using)
