Planning to bite the Pro bullet. Can someone share their experience?

Also, in JD2, I've been experiencing bandwidth errors even though I've only downloaded 1GB. This led me to believe that MEGA is computing transfers when it started (adding 1GB to your transfer once you start a 1GB file, then adding 1GB again if you pause+resume) this would explain the "can't download >5GB files" problem. Can someone confirm, deny or at least provide a counter example to this?

Had Pro1 for over a year now (I somehow got bumped to 6TB of traffic instead of 2, don't ask don't tell I guess). Minor investment, maximum payout, use a prepaid visa if you are feeling paranoid. Have yet to have a single email from my ISP, and not worrying about links dying has been great. Between this sub, opendir and the eye I am overwhelmed with data.

I am facing an issue with Mega Downloader. I have not downloaded anything in about a week, so the bandwidth has not been exceeded. Even so my download is at 0%, speed at 0 and it stays like this.

I've been having problems with "import" function on mega. When i tried import it just respond "Error Not Copied".

How do I rip movies off of dvds including subtitles? Both for personal use and some movies I'd like to upload and share.

Got some movies from India that I'd been asking for in this sub for forever and now that I have them, thought it's time to share. Additionally, got wedding movies as well I'd like save on my PC.

Is it possible to rip a dvd as is so you have the main menu, chapter select screen, extras, etc. as well as just rip the main video file and subtitle?

Looking to rip in the best quality possible for the wedding vids whereas the movies I'd like em done quicker.

Not a request, but a question. How do you merge a together a video that has multiple download parts. This is an example of exactly what I'm talking about. Should I use something like 7-Zip to extract? I really am clueless.

Yes use 7-zip.Right click on the first part & choose where to extract to.All the other parts will be extracted also & joined together.

You should really use jdownerloader2 with zippy links.It does the extracting for you plus you can load all the links at once.It is much easier.If you have jdownloader2 open on the linkgrabber tab you only have to highlight the one link in the address bar or all of the links ,like your example,right click & select copy & it will do it all for you.

Wow, didn't know anything about jdownloader2. After I had read your initial comment, I just downloaded all 19 links individually, extracted the first part and got it to work. Jdownloader2 seems like a great way to save time!

For the past few months I’ve been experiencing some trouble when it comes to the extraction of larger .rar files (e.g. the ones iPhunwa2 posts). To be more specific, mega.co.nz allows me to download the .rar file without experiencing any problems, however when I try to extract the file afterwards, I keep getting an error saying the .rar file is broken/ corrupt. For months, I’ve been able to avoid this problem by simply downloading the .rar file by using the browser (firefox / chrome) instead of the “MegaSync Desktop App“, however I am no longer able to do this, as mega.co.nz now forces me to use the “MegaSync Desktop App“ for larger files. Any help would be fairly appreciated!

I'm afraid you'll have to re-download the file again if they get corrupted during the download. Its situations like this why I personally prefer ZippyShare uploads, since you'll only have to download 200MB (or 500MB) if a part gets corrupted.

Could you try using JDownloader to download the files from MEGA, and let me know if that works better?

Thank you for your help and sorry for the late reply! In the mean time I've tried using JDownloader as recommended, it worked out fine for me - I don't get an error anymore regarding a broken/ corrupt file, however the downloading process took me about an hour (for files around 4GB) which is unusual, as it only takes max. 15min to download the same files if I use the Mega Desktop App or browser (I'm using the same internet connection/ speed btw). I really appreciate your help and the effort you're putting in this subreddit, really no offense but may I ask why you upload your stuff as .rar files unlike other OPs, because a lot of people I know personally are experiencing the same problem(s)?

Have you tried changing the maximum chunks and maximum simultaneous downloads in JDownloader? If not, go to Settings and then change those to an amount you feel would give you more speed (on multiple parts) than usual.

The reason I do .rar files is because .mkv's get taken down based on their MD5 hash. If someone else had uploaded the exact same mkv and their file would be taken down, mine would too since its the exact same file. RARing the file helps with that since it changes/hides the original md5 hash and ensures longevity.

How do I utilize subtitles? Recently I acquired Game of Thrones to binge over the holiday season but i don't speak Dothraki (the horse people language). Do I need to make a separate download for the subs?

You can usually find a subtitle file if you google the exact filename + subtitle. I use VLC, but it looks like for WMP all you do is make sure the sub file is in the same folder and has the same filename (with an .srt extension). Good luck!

going by your wording, it sems that youre importing th file. this does nothing. you have to download it to your phone. then, find the file(its usually in your download folder. if not, it will be in extsdcard/andoid/data/com.privacy.mega or something.) now look at the file xtension, ie, the part after the dot. if you see .zip, .rar, or .7z, download winrar from the playstore. open the file with winrar and extract the file to any location. if the file is .mp4,.avi,.mkv, open it with your regular video player. note that most regular phones dont play x265 well. they lag alot and the graphics are washed out. so you should stick with x264. finally if the file is .epub or .mobi. download any ebook reader fromt he store and open the ebook with it.

no. you have 50 gb of storage. when youre downloading, you are using up transfer quota of which you have only 5 gb. this means that you have to wait until its filled again to download the full series.

one way to avoid this in countries outside the us is to just reboot your modem. if this doesnt work you most likely will have to use a vpn or other methods which work only intermittently. there are some mega debrids out there but they rarely work and they are filled with ads and pop ups.

Hey guys, so I'm fairly new here and am loving it. One of my recent downloads is Community. It has 110 episodes at ~2gb each, overall almost 220gb. I have searched hard to find a 1080p x265 upload with no luck. I realise that x265 doesn't give massively decreased file sizes, however I think it would knock a decent chunk off of 220gb.

Would it be a good idea to re-encode this upload into x265?
What do I do in HandBreak (or some other alternative) to keep the same quality? I have a Ryzen 5 1600 and a GTX 1060 6GB. I'm not too worried if it takes a long time to encode.

220g is not that big in this era of multiterrabyte harddrives.Transcoding video maxes out all of your cpu cores for hours at a time.It is hard on your pc.You are probably looking at 400-600 hours to transcode 220g.it just isn't worth it in my opinion.

What is it that you downloaded? If its a RAR/ZIP, you'll need 7-Zip to extract the files. If its an mkv or an avi file, you can play it directly in any media player like VLC, MPC-HC, etc.
