the quality is definitely better- mine doesn't have subs, but it looks like an old VHS rip (one of those ones were the tracking seems to go in and out, if you're old enough to remember that). Not worth sharing unfortunately.

I definitely am old enough to remember that. Manual tracking on VCR, hehe. Thanks anyway. Maybe I'll get a DVD and encode it myself when I get a chance. For some reason it is difficult for me to pay attention to the movie when subtitles are showing, lol.

Thanks for sharing. A few corrections: It came out in 1997, not 1977. It is also only 480p not 720p, which makes much more sense. I was wondering how the hell you could get 720p from a DVD, lol. It also has hard coded subtitles which can't be disabled.

hi i'm new to this. i'm using handbreak, when i look at picture size it says W=720 H= 480 so should i be listing as 480 not the 720? thanks for any info

Yeah, the latter of the two. It is 480p. Just like 1920x1080 is 1080p. :) Unless it is a HD-DVD it should be 480p max as that's what the source is.

P.S. Thanks again for sharing, particularly since this is a rarer film that hadn't already been posted here. I try to post things that I find that haven't already been posted a million times myself, lol.

EDIT: PAL DVDs (Non-US) are 576p. Sorry, I didn't purposefully misinform you. I wasn't thinking.

Haha. You could always either encode with non-hard coded subtitles which you can either enable or disable or make a .srt file for the subtitles, the former being preferable. :)
