I know it's a lot of files, and the webpage may hang for a bit if you're trying to import or something. But I kept from zipping it up so that you can see everything and pick and choose albums if desired.

holy shit, what a motherlode!

Anyone care to enlighten us what the different versions of the movie soundtracks mean? Image album, vs. hi-tech series, vs. sound book edition... most of the movies have these varieties.

A while back I got the full package for Mononoke (image album, o.s.t. and symphonic suite), and in the release notes it said that the Image Album was produced for the animators in the actual studio to listen to while producing the movie, a sort of demo version of the core tracks (later to be refined when the more finished movie is scored). Is that true?

Your description of an image album is how I've always understood it as well. The one for Howl's Moving Castle is one of my favourites.

The 'Hi-tech series' seems to be a series of digitally sampled (i.e. played with MIDI instruments) easy listening arrangement albums.

Drama albums are ones that include clips of audio from the film (e.g. characters speaking, sound effects).

Vocal and Karaoke albums are designed as singalongs or to showcase the vocal songs from the soundtrack.

Not sure what the Sound Book or Sound Source albums are.

Very nice, thank you very much! :)

Just out of curiosity, have you ever thought about uploading to zippyshare as well?

A problem I've heard of from many people, truly a shame.

Thanks a bunch, another great upload!

Do you mind me asking how and more importantly where one would go about aquiring such a massive collection?

Also here is a request, maybe a little far fetched since its not an ost of anything: anything by Ryo Fukui. Especially the album "Letter from Slowboat"

I'm a long time member of BakaBT, they have a lot of high quality anime related material. This and many of my other posts are from there. They changed to being a private tracker recently, so I'm glad to share things others may no longer have access to.
