Just noticed this today :)
Was 200MB before, that mean faster rar decompresssion yay
E : Title don't seem clear enough, the limit doesn't affect the bandwith but only the filesize. Since the beginning zippyshare had a filesize limit of 200MB and they recently upped it to 500MB, bandwith is still uncapped.

Is there somewhere good to get zippyshare links? I learnt about zippyshare from this sub, but they are only posted sporadically here.

r/zippyshare is a lot less active than I'd like it to be.
snahp.it
movie-blog.org
twoddl.co
twoddl.co has zippyshare links, most of the time there will be a link to a link locker with a captcha. It'll then reveal a number of links, each individual link behind an adf.ly clone, however, as long as you use jdownloader you don't have to worry about them. Simply select all the links given
(e.g. yabuilder.com/*, yamechanic.com/*, etc.) and copy them with jdownloader open. It'll pick up all the zippyshare links without the hassle of having to go through and wait 5-10 seconds per link.
Example
If the links are ouo.io then it gets a bit more convoluted since jdownloader can't bypass the captcha.
You'll need the following
• ublock origin with ublock protector ^((disable ublock on this page)^) to skip the captchas
• an extension to let you open all the links at once
• an extension to copy all open tabs to clipboard
Once you have all of that just click and hold the right mouse button and drag the cursor over all the ouo.io links. When all the tabs are loaded entirely click on the "get opened tab urls" button near the address bar and either click the copy to clipboard button or select and copy it yourself if you have other tabs open which you don't want to be in the clipboard. Once it's copied to clipboard jdownloader should add all the urls (unless you have clipboard observer disabled in which case you'll need to paste the links into jdownloader).
Sometimes twoddl mixes the zippyshare links with uploadrocket links, in that case you still add all the links to jdownloader but simply start the download by right clicking on zippyshare under hoster in the views pane.
Example
^Note: twoddl.co has a lot of malicious ads so you'll want to block 3rd-party scripts and frames.
movie-blog.org has zippyshare mirrors, they're behind a link locker with a captcha which then gives you a page that has all the download links and an option to download a .dlc.
The top two posts on the front page are promo ads (vavoo and justice league currently), just ignore those. Look for posts with
Mirrors: anzeigen (*)
Click on anzeigen to reveal the zippyshare mirror
^Note: This is a German blog so some of the content will be solely german dub while other content is dual audio with a normal English track and a German dub, details about the available tracks can be found within each post:
VIDEO : 1920×808 (CRF20 @ 5150)
SUBS : German + Forced, English + Forced
AUDIO : German DTS 5.1 @ 1509
English DTS 5.1 @ 1509
Other than that they often also translate movie titles into German, that's annoying.... but they usually link an IMDB page so it's not a big a problem.
[-] newgen2005 | 6 points
You sir are a legend, you method works perfectly for bypassing the dreaded ouo.io links! I have spent so much time in the past trying to solve the stupid captcha's. Thank you.

Also worth noting that German releases with dual audio (usually German and original language) tend to have the DL

Sometimes adsites come up when you click download. A small price to pay for the service they provide though.
[-] sergiomomos | 6 points
Won't we bypass that by using jdownloader?
Don't know if its just me but my anti-malware lights up like a Christmas tree whenever I try to install JDownloader, is its legit software?
Use the clean installer instead, available from the jdownloader forums.
Clean installer? I use the original is it something I need worry about?
The clean installer is also official, but previously the original installer was bundled with malware. I’m not sure if it is anymore but better safe than sorry.
weird that they offer both versions, but the adware one is not on their official download list. does this get updated as much as the "original" one? though i never had a threat warning from my NOD32 AV. Also, I'm assuming i will need to uninstall my current one thus losing all my settings. Can i some how transfer my current settings?
Man, zippyshare was around even when Megaupload and Rapidshare were still a thing. Cool that they always stayed free-user friendly.

I remeber it was used largely for websites that shared crappy Electronic Music back in 2011.

[-] HoneyFoxxx | 1 points
Huh? Surely less links to copy/paste is good for the downloader?
[-] MrTattyBojangles | 1 points
I wouldn't say so, seems very minor. We'll still be downloading the same amount, just in less chunks. It's better for the uploader because they won't have to split the files into as many chunks.
[-] HoneyFoxxx | 1 points
Well I can tell, you, after uploading quite a bit, its just a matter of putting 200m instead of 500m. It doesn't really make a noticeable difference, to me at least.

Holy fuck. Why does he share the mega links here only then?
[-] HoneyFoxxx | 1 points
Some stuff is only available on the website.
Also mega is inferior compared to zippy, so why would anyone use the mega links on the website, if the zippy ones are better?
[-] Nyarzaltcoalt | 1 points
hurray!~ thanks for these news.
Are zippy shares encrypted like Mega? Can your ISP see what you are downloading?
[-] trashcluster | 1 points
Everything is encrypted via SSL when DDL, i don't think files are encrypted like mega does on zippyshare's servers tho so if you stick to non sensitive files you're good to go, you can still manually encrypt files if you feel the need to.
[-] Androxilogin | 1 points
That's pretty cool! I used to use it all the time for quick patches and .exes I'd make for people while always forgetting filesize limits and having to resort to Mega. Thanks for the info!
[-] HappyHippoHerbals | 1 points
Perfect for H265 720p :D
[-] IgnoreMyName | -1 points
However, will it not take longer to download? Download speeds for Zippy are slow AF so downloading a 10gb file split into 50 parts will take less time than downloading the same file in 20 parts. This is with downloads set to 20 simultaneous in JDownloader of course.
However, however, if it makes it easier for uploaders, it's a welcome change. They now have the option as to how many parts they want to make.
[-] [deleted] | 2 points
Just increase the number of simultaneous downloads. Instead of 03, download 10,15,20 at the same time. It will eat up your whole speed.
[-] IgnoreMyName | 1 points
I addressed this? Max simultaneous downloads in JDownloader is 20. If you only have 10 500mb files to download compared to 25 200mb files, the 25 files will download faster.
~~How is what you said any different from what I said?~~ Apologies for being a cunt.
he meant downloading a single file through 10,15,20 chunks. (jdownload's defaut max chunks per download is 3)
[-] IgnoreMyName | 1 points
Ahh, thank you for that. Makes sense.
[-] TriHard_1488 | -2 points
Does it mean that I can only download 500MB tops and have to wait several hours for it's stupid ass to keep downloading?
[-] trashcluster | 7 points
Nope, before the update zippy capped the filesize at 200MB so that meant you needed to split archives in many files before uploading, now that it's 500MB there will be 2.5 times less parts per archives which is good.

I personally don't trust Zippyshare.
Why are Zippyshare links posted on this sub as well? I thought it was just for Mega.
[-] trashcluster | 18 points
To provide mirrors, zippy doesn't set download limits too so it's a good alternative.
Well mega is becoming shittier so i'm glad alternatives are offered. With Jdownloader, zippyshare really has 0 limits, time or speed
mega is becoming shittier
Care to elaborate? I didn't notice any difference in their service.
I don't know for how long you have used mega but you used to be able to download big files without any tricks, now they stop you after a few gigs. Also the free accounts used to stay at 50gb for more than a month.
You're probably talking about the 10GB daily download limit, which I'm sure existed for quite a while now. IIRC you could bypass it simply by making an account, but I never downloaded 10GB from Mega in one day anyway so I wouldn't know...
They did fix some bugs over the time that allowed you to bypass their rules, but the rules themselves didn't change. For example in the past you could import large files into your account even if it doesn't have enough free space (import 50GB files from account 1 to account 2 which is already full and have 100GB worth of files), and you could use some trick with MegaDownloader that lets you bypass the 10GB limit altogether...etc
Well, tragic.

I know this isn't for everyone but I bit the bullet and paid for the cheapest tier MEGA account available for one month so I didn't have to deal with the bandwidth limits.
Since the cloud limit is raised to 200gb I've been importing stuff posted here then sending links from my account to jdownloader in case they get removed for whatever reason.
I don't really want to continue paying for it monthly but the convenience has been worth it even as a one-off IMO.

Y’know I noticed with mega that the 5gb limit doesn’t apply to large files, for example if a download is a 20gb zip mega will let you download it all in one go. However if the download is 80 individual files that total 20gb you’ll be capped at 5gb and have to wait the 5 hours to reset.

I had the exact same thing happen to me recently. I had a download going from mega website(chrome) but it stopped midway through and said I was over my bandwidth limit. However I also had downloads going on in megadownloader at the same time and this did not happen. I was able to download over 20Gb through the megadownloader all in one go but the one download I had in the website was stopped.

I found a way to shorten the wait time to 2 and a half hours. Just use MEGA in Chrome. Then in Firefox 2 and a half hours later. I've done that quite often and it works really good.

I've downloaded 80gb of files (around 20 files) nonstop by downloading 20 at a time (Megadownloader). I've only done it once so IDK if it works on repeat but it did that one time. Maybe someone else can check it out.

[-] pokebud | 1 points | Dec 04 2017 21:27:24
So not sequentially but actually statrting the download for all 20 files at once? That’s pretty cool but I’m sure once it’s done it will hit the 5 hour reset since it does the same with the large single file.

For me the only difference would be having to see less links and dragging my mouse to copy paste less links. LOL that is life changing if you do it over and over.
Instead of 5 files you only need 2 files for 1gb.
Downloading a Blue-Ray movie will take a lot less dragging the mouse to copy links. :D
