If anyone else is on mobile and finds it difficult to tell which letters are bold, it's the H in "SH | Megalinks MegaDB HlS" and the H in "3rH | Megalinks MegaDB HZbu".

Man.... I need a damn streamer that can play x265.... these 264 are MASSIVE

I get what you mean! I'm getting an nVidia Shield almost for this sole purpose. I've been using a Chromecast 2 with Plex and the transcoding has been destroying my CPU.

I don't bother trans-coding, I grab exclusively x264 :\ 40GB for a serious is crazy though

Exactly! I don't have enough storage so I have to download x265. Extra storage is ridiculously expensive where I live (Argentina)

I love my Plex! So much so I've invested in a server style storage solution to hold HD's(I live near Redmond WA, so lots of cheap fairly recent equipment goes up for sale).

I wonder if an odroid c2 could play this properly. Might be worth looking into that.

By "these" I take it you mean other x264 files on this subreddit, because these particular files are x265.

Yea, I mean others in general anywhere. By comparison they are HUGE. I think ST was like 70GB?

Haha, just making sure. Yeah, uncompressed 2160p files are enormous.

even the 1080P ones I'm grabbing are massive.... I just don't see spending $70 or so on something that can do 4k without a 4k TV

Guess I'm spoiled. I have a dedicated rig for storage. 27TB usable right now, of which I have about 2/3rds used. With room for lots more expansion.

price? how much did you spend on it?

The storage itself is a SC846E1, 24 bay server with dual Xeons and 32 gig of ram. Spent 300 on it.

Two of the 8TB drives I bought for it cost more than that! :)
