DOCTOR WHO 2005 - NEW WHO (not Classic)
aHR0cHM6Ly9tZWdhLm56LyNGIWtpSjN4UnpBIUJMdXVTSzM1UWNtR1YwUjFxeXVnaVE=
Decode with base64
I'm trying to take advantage of my left-over data before the month ends and the data cap starts anew, so I figured I'd upload this, since it took me a good week to get it off the original torrent. I'm uploading the rest as well, but I figured I'd start with Nine & Ten, as well as their specials. These are all named for Plex/TVDB standards.
Note about the Specials: some of them are lower quality, and others are regular encoding, not x265. I added to the ones that came with the original torrent from my collection in order to get as many episodes as possible. I've marked those below. The rest are all x265/1080p.
S00E01 Children In Need - Born Again (xvid - 640x352)
S00E02 The Christmas Invasion (h264 - 720x482)
S00E04 The Runaway Bride (h264 - 720x482)
S00E06 Children In Need - Time Crash (xvid - 640x352)
S00E07 Voyage of The Damned (h264 - 720x482)
S00E09 The Next Doctor
S00E13 Planet of the Dead
S00E14 The Waters of Mars
S00E16 The End of Time (1)
S00E17 The End of Time (2)
I wanna kiss you. Thank you, thank you many times. Any chances you'll upload the specials x265/1080p in the future?

If I could find them, sure, but some of these will be hard to get in any other kind of quality.
I thought it was your own rip. I've been waiting for someone to rip the whole series from the blurays for a long time. Guess I'll have to do it myself when I have the money to buy a box and a blu-ray recorder

I got it off a very badly seeded torrent that took me almost a full 7 days to download. To be fair, I haven’t looked around to see if I can find the specials in 1080p, but if I find them, I’ll change these out.

The series is technically titled: Doctor Who (2005). Might be good to add that to your post.
[-] spiritatbay | 2 points
I realized that after someone above asked, but I am unable to edit the title, so unless a mod can do it, we’re stuck with this.
[-] tejasgadhia | 1 points
You can't edit the title of a post but you can edit the body of it. Regardless, appreciate the upload and looking forward to the rest.

Done =)
Was able to get all but S02E11. Anyone else with an issue?
[-] spiritatbay | 3 points
I just tested it and it didn't download either. I'm re-uploading now.
Cool. Just got to that point as well and it wasn't working. Thanks again for uploading!

Try again now.

nice! would this be a good start for the doctor who universe? would id be able to understand everything or must i start for the first doctor who series?
[-] spiritatbay | 2 points
For all intents and modern purposes, this is the first series. It’s a continuation of the original series but you don’t need to watch the original to understand it. They make a great job of laying down the groundwork and the history.

thanks mate! ill give it a go then

yeah im in for a ride i guess!
Unrelated to this release: The latest I've seen floating around is a bluray rip S01-9/S10-Webdl-reencode/all specials, subs in most seasons HEVC 1080p, about 1.2GB an episode by "d3g". It's a great release if you find it but I spent an hour up close comparing stills and clips to a 500mb each x264 480p bluray S1-9, and I almost think the x264 is better (just kidding - actually it seemed completely identical). I have a feeling some of these new HEVC encodes popping up are done using one of the faster/less CPU usage modes since it takes 10x the same amount of time as x264 - but maybe the production costs were limited or even the film size was to small to make for Higher quality doctor who episodes, this makes me sad - but if you find the 500mb per episode 480 release I highly recommend it, and d3g for the specials. PSA-Rips are also good for HEVC in the latest season and new episodes (maybe better at web-dl's).

You should check out pahe.in s01-09 bluray 720p. File size is very low at 300mb-450mb per episode. Video quality is excellent while audio is decent.

This is excellent, many thanks! Having trouble with S02E13, though, is it just me?
[-] spiritatbay | 1 points
I just tried it and it wouldn't let me download it either. I'll re upload it when I get home.
[-] GokaiSanyu | 1 points
There's a bit of audio desync for quite a few of the specials, but only at certain moments. Is there a possible fix?
[-] spiritatbay | 1 points
The specials were sort of put together from bits and pieces of different collextions just so there would be a more complete offering. Which ones in specific? Maybe I can find different versions.
[-] GokaiSanyu | 1 points
So far, from this set I've noticed it in both Planet of the Dead and both parts The End of Time. I'm about to check the other Specials and see if such errors exist.
EDIT: Christmas Specials before the Next Doctor seem fine, and from a coastal glance The Waters of Mars is okay as well. I've yet to check anything from the Moffat seasons, and I'll post any details on those in its respective thread.

oh ffs, does no one in the encoding community care about 5.1 sound anymore?
[-] StrikeKiller78 | 3 points
Hey there! I'm currently downloading the SHORTBREHD x264 release just for the DTS 5.1 surround sound untouched bluray audio (with a bitrate of 1509kb/s). I'm planning to encode it into AAC 5.1 and then remux it with this 1080p x265 release.
[-] gazongagizmo | 1 points
ooh, that sounds lovely! please drop me a line when you're finished...

Ive copied S01-S10 with specials x265 1080p 84gb. Just send an email to [[email protected]] and request doctor who. It will be in a single link.

Sorry, bit of a newbie to the WHO thing. This starts off with the 9th doctor you said? So I'm guessing the new series, and not the older original.

Yes, this is new Who. The new series started with the 9th incarnation of the Doctor. We are up to 12 now, with 13 starting next year.
There’s another user who has been uploading the original series, so do a search for those if you’re interested in starting from the beginning.

Correct, it's the rebooted series.

It's not a reboot. The Classic Series still canon.

The doctor regenerates, not revives.
