If anyone is wondering, this version is quite a bit better than the slightly smaller x265 rip that was posted to the subreddit a few weeks ago. The difference between the encodes is obvious side-by-side.
~~Not familiar with the other one, but I just downloaded this to see what these bonkai77 encodes are like and there are some pretty serious blocking artifacts.~~
Never mind, most likely decoding issues on my end
edit: figured it out, it was NVIDIA CUVID Hardware Acceleration that wasn't working. Switching to DXVA2 or disabling hardware acceleration works.

I'm not noticing anything. Where abouts did you spot them?
Right at the beginning with the company logos, and scenes where the whole screen fades to white or black.

I'll have a look when I get chance.
I can pass this message on to the encoder if you'd like. Their encodes have always been top notch in my experience.
Have a look at some other bonkai encodes, maybe this one's just an outlier?
Here are some screenshots:

Ok, this is weird. I think you might be having decoding issues, because I'm not seeing anything of the sort in this rip. Played through the first few minutes, definitely hitting all of the spots you've gotten screenshots of, and I don't see anything out of the ordinary using MPC.
Hmm, I'm using MPC-HC with madVR renderer. I'll try updating my components to see if that helps.

Good luck! Yeah, I was gonna say. Originally, I thought maybe I missed it since I skipped in, but seeing those screenshots, there's no way I would've missed something that bad.

See my post below regarding playing HEVC files, not sure if you saw it. You shouldn't need to use madVR renderer. Hope you sort it.
See my post below
I can see it if I go to your user page, but the comment doesn't show up in this thread. Maybe because of one of the links in it?

You may have some decoding issues going on, because I played through a few of the spots you've got some massive blocking and don't see anything.

Yep, nothing wrong with the file itself.
