Oh shit, did that feel fast (from theatre to digital) to anyone else?

What's the source provider? Amazon?

I understand that h.265 files are smaller but require more processing as compared to h.264 which are bigger and require less processing, but what are the realistic effects when watching this on my TV? I have an XBR65X750D that I generally watch most of my videos on a high-speed flash drive.

I don't mind the larger files since my flash drive speed is fast enough to handle it, I'm curious the effects on my actual viewing experience.

I'm not really sure it's always like that, it's just been my experience comparing the two, but h.265 loses some definition: it looks kind of blurred compared to h.264. So I always go for h.264 over h.265 'cause of the processing power required and sharper image. I can live with a higher file size.

Hmm ok, after looking at some other websites, that seems to be the general consensus.

I've just ordered a 64gb sandisk extreme usb so I can switch to using h.264 files over the smaller h.265 that I've been forced on due to my smaller 8gb usb.

Might I recommend going for an external harddrive and connecting it either to your tv or even better, your router? By creating a network drive you can create a library that can be accessed not only by your Sony but also by your other smart tvs (should you have them, I realize that's not the case for everyone but everything comes out the door smart).

I have a 5 TB External connected to my router, I download whatever movie I want and copy it over (unless I need to reencode it, my XBR65850B is a little stingy at being forced to work with newer .264 movies) and bam, I can watch it effortlessly without needing to connect anything to the tv except an ethernet cable.

Just a thought. I've done a hell of a lot of research on this so please feel free to ask!

Wait so your smart TV can read your network drive? Damn that's awesome I'm going to have to pick up an extra Hard drive tomorrow for CyberMonday! Thanks for the tip!

I highly recommend getting an actual network drive but one with USB 3.0 and if your router does USB 3.0 it’ll work but it actually seems to be slower

This could also be my netgear nighthawk router causing that problem though

That seems pretty cool, I've never thought to do something like this. My router does have a usb port but not sure if it supports 3.0.

In either case is it as simple as getting an External hard drive and connecting it to the router?

It should be. Familiarize yourself with your router. If you don’t think it’s USB 3.0 I would recommend looking into a network drive with Ethernet support

265 requires more CPU grunt, and my Amazon Fire TV Stick + Kodi won't play 265 properly.

super stupid question, but is it normal that the film is 1920x808?

It was a pretty bad movie. I loved the first one but this was utter trash with a terrible script and useless characters.

1/5

Bruh if you can't enjoy it it's on you but overthinking is only gonna ruins the experience
I really like the first one so I tried not to be nitpicky and the experience was 9/11.

yes but with that mindset transformers the last knight was good. as a follow up to the secret service this film failed horribly.

it wasn't nearly as good as the first, but i wasn't going in expecting a masterpiece. i was expecting a fun, dumb action movie and that's exactly what it was. it's still pretty enjoyable.
