thanks for the big dump of movies. lots of good stuff for the little ones here.

small comment, really more of a personal opinion. if you could list the movies along with info (resolution, size, release group) somewhere like pastebin, it'd be really really helpful. Even if it was just list of movies, that'd be great as the RT site is just kind of bloated. As for the res/size/release part, it'd be nice for those of us with some of these already to quickly see if it's a better quality/bit rate/release/format than we already have.

Sorry for that. I'll definitely keep it in mind. The thing is that most of the movies here are old so most of the links I found were dead. The only links I found were on sites that don't offer specs.

However most of them are 1080p.

Any opinionated statement is subjective, however, the order RT has them in is pretty horrifically bad IMO. I mean, Inside out is a mediocre film that looks pretty, the fact it's number 1 is a crime against animation.

I'm trying to get people to realize that beauty is objective, not subjective. Some pieces of art are objectively better than others, otherwise there are no grounds to put ANY movie into ANY spot on ANY ranking. It is true that I would be wrong if God did not exist, but then there would be nothing to be wrong about in the first place, since nothing would exist. If you are an atheist then this argument is never going to convince you, you would first have to be convinced that God exists.
OP was making a qualitative statement about movies being better or worse than other movies. That is all I need to ask the question what determines the qualities and whether those determining factors are objective or subjective. I am not treating it like he was asserting an undeniable fact, I am treating it like he asserted SOMETHING AT ALL.
Ultimately, granted the law of non-contradiction and everything that follows (namely, truth), beauty has to be objective. It is still ultimately experienced subjectively, but the thing experienced has objective qualities that make it more or less beautiful.

I wasn't saying that because God doesn't exist it's not true, I liken'd the argument to the objective vs subjective morality argument, the reality is that regardless of whether or not I or you believe in God is irrelevant, because that can neither be proven true or false it's a worthless argument to have.
Those determining factors EVEN IF GOD IS REAL must be subjective as we've no way of fact checking with the big G, if your argument is that God is indeed real and thus it's objective based the only way for you or he to know those factors would be to check with God, and unless you're in dire need of some medication that's not going to be the case.
That is an incorrect use of the non-contradiction principle and once again a pedantic argument that cannot have an answer, you have yet to make ANY argument of your own for the reasoning that beauty is objective and not subjective.

Also your interpretation of God IF REAL could be entirely false, God could be an unconscious embodiment of the universe who has no objective reasoning for anything, but again, totally and utterly worthless argument to even start as there's no way for anyone to prove it.

You are completely missing the point. I am not saying he was being literal in his ranking. I am saying that ANY ranking disproves the idea that beauty is subjective, or at least, if it is true that beauty is subjective, ANY ranking is completely worthless since it doesn't actually tell you anything about how good the movies are. If OP meant to say ANY movie is better than ANY OTHER ONE my objection holds.
