Did anyone think part of the dolphin segments and other parts looked computer generated this week?

I think they said they had problems finding the dolphins, maybe they simulated some of the shots?

I've noticed this with a couple segments in the last few episodes, and I really think it might just be a combination of the frame rate and crazy resolution that's putting it in the uncanny valley. There's an organic sort of feel to the shots that I don't think you can really computer generate convincingly.

Keep in mind they've had years to get these shots. They were able to afford to wait for the right shots.

that's 100% what it is. i also noticed it, but it's just a combination of frame rate and i think panning while the animals swim.

The production team for the show is pretty open about everything, they haven't done any CGI or anything like that, although I believe some of the micro-organism scenes are done in a lab because they need ridiculous lighting conditions for those bits.

Also, if anyone is interested in the Amazon WEB-DL, check it out here.

I really don't think so, at least not without explicitly stating so like they did last week with the deep underwater caverns. The UK tabloids have an obsession with 'outing' tv shows, especially BBC shows, if they discover something isn't 100% genuine, like they did with the polar bear segment in Planet Earth 2.

The final segment, into the blue, shows how they made the dolphin segment.
