With softwares such as OBS why would you use Fraps? Search about OBS, it's free and good.

because some people like myself might own a logitech G.series keyboard with a screen that displays your framerate and other useful information during use, or just because fraps does not compress the output in any kind.

In any case what is your point of criticizing people wich want to use it? you are in a File sharing subreddit and you try to shame people for using software they like? that's smart!

He never criticized, just asked a question and gave an alternative suggestion. I don't see the harm in asking for justification behind using one program over another.

well for me, fraps is super simple to use when all I want is to record my screen and save the resulting video file, that's it.

ehh no? just checked twice I upped 3.5.99 and I just reinstalled it again just to check it's 3.5.99...
