Possibly one of the greatest sci-fi shows of all time.

A few years back I made a chronological timeline showing the recommended viewing order for the entire series (movies included) - I've distributed this with friends who used it during their first viewing, and they said it was very helpful. I hope someone else finds it useful!

Sorry okay, lemme explain - first you go down the left column, then the right column. The coloured columns in the centre of each show which season you're in. I did it this way as a style choice at the time, so that the runtimes of each episode/movie were in the centre.

This one is DEFINITELY worth the effort. I have all of this on Blu-Ray discs myself, because it’s just so worth the cost. So all the runtimes are based off the discs, not sure how accurate they are to the downloads. But I’m sure you’ll be able to figure it out from this :P

I can say from experience that you should definitely stick with the timeline here. While I usually prefer release order myself, it 100% works better this way. Especially “The Plan”, it’s basically a big extended episode that makes no sense if you watch it after the season finale (as per release order).

The only tricky bit is in “Razor”, but there are pretty detailed instructions on the picture so you don’t spoil anything. You COULD watch “Razor” after season 3, but you’ll have to think back a fair way to get into the right mindset - it’s up to you in that case.

Makes it worth it, for sure. Makes for one super cohesive story. And it actually makes me enjoy “The Plan”, which I thought was really boring the first time I watched it, but really awesome when I watched it in the correct placement.

I agree with you about The Plan - in the differing placement it really works much better.

Razor however, i'm kind of a purist. I like the fact it was placed where it was - I think it sets an interesting conflicting tone to the next few episodes wondering exactly if [redacted] | Megalinks MegaDB [redacted] it's a good or a bad thing! (Not to mention all that "mute the volume at this timestamp until this timestamp" bollocks. Seriously, who's got time for that?!? (And I say that as a major fan who has friends that worked on the show). So yeah - with you on The Plan, not so much on Razor! :)

They're in the specials folder. Marked with the episode numbers from thetvdb.com.

S00E01 + 02 = miniseries

S00E04 = Razor

S00E22 = The Plan
