To make it harder for copyright trolls to not DMCA notice the files, for it to be taken down. We are assuming they dont know how to decoder them, and therefor the files will be up for everyone to download.

yeah bots can probably scrape normal filehosting links but encoding them in b64 makes it harder for bots to mass report links

And it's a hell of a lot better than when we were doing that hiding links inside images bullshit that never fucking worked for me.

right? I hate that , it is pretty obvious they know that too

Some more instructions on your multilayered password thing would be good.

EDIT: after clicking the download link, the first password is the name of this sub (no caps) which leads to a second password pop-up. That password you get from following OP's "base64 decoder link" and then inputting the key that OP provided. (I ignored the drop down, the default one seemed to work.)

Sorry I was under an assumption that most people in this sub were aware of the password workarounds. Glad you got it though, if anyone needs help feel free to pm me and I’ll walk you through it!

I think you're fine on the 9th episode of a tv series to not include the full instructions. Not many people are going to start with that. A random movie, tv season, or first episode I'm sure would be different. Anyway, thank you.

even this comment didn't clear it up for me when my first attempt failed.

my confusion was "what even is 'the sub'?" this submission? the submitter? the subreddit? does it include the /r/ ? etc... i had to permute a lot of options before working it out.

base64 not a problem of course... but that first step was a bit maddening for a while :P

this subreddit is "megalinks"

after that you need to translate the password in the decoder link OP provided and paste it to the password key field.

i did work it out... it just took a while :)

That was overly complicated. Most people either do one way or the other. The OP decided to do both secure link and a base64 decoder.

wow, thx, somehow i got the impression the last episode was the season finale... wasn't expecting another episode

I think it was supposed to be the finale but they changed their minds. That's why the editing for the last episode felt like it jumped all over the place.

just finished watching, i totally get the "it jumped all over the place" :)

Don't think these have 5.1 audio or Klingon subtitles? Any suggestions as to the best rip for this?

[-] no_more_space | 2 points | Nov 13 2017 11:57:44

Does this not have English subs for when Klingons speak?

permalink

[-] Hopefull_Loser | 2 points | Nov 13 2017 13:28:23

They do have Klingon subs

The Klingons have subs? Lo and behold, even our oceans are no longer safe from the Klingons…
