Thank you for this. Do you have any soundtracks from Anderson's other films? Would love Bottle Rocket, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Darjeeling Limited, and Fantastic Mr. Fox.

Noob question. So, do i need any specific device/software/headphone to notice the difference between FLAC vs 320 kbps mp3 file?

Some people swear they can hear the difference between the two. Others believe the difference is too negligible to justify the larger size.
Whether it's a placebo or not, I believe I notice differences where high frequency is concerned (ie. Cymbal crashes, etc) and especially when listening through headphones. It should be noted that people have varying hearing abilities so comparing the two formats is a highly subjective endeavor. Ultimately, it's an excellent archiving format as the files can be restored to original WAV files without any loss of quality occurring.
As far as software goes, just about every audio program is capable of playing FLAC (except apple). Where hardware is concerned, better equipment might allow for clearer distinction between the 2 formats.
I've been using an Android box that is capable of outputting 192kHz 24-Bit FLAC to a pretty basic 7.1 Sony receiver... The differences between the HD 192khz/24-Bit FLAC and MP3 320kbps is far more noticeable than the difference between standard 16-Bit FLAC and 320kbps MP3.

Two additions: apple now supports FLAC. They were paranoid about a retroactive licensing scam, so they didn't include native support into their systems, but after ten years of that not happening, they finally realized that nobody was out to get them, and that their FLAC clone was unnecessary, so they now (or very soon) support FLAC natively.
And, as sufficiently explained above, it really depends of you yourself, on your equipment, on your listening methods and on your standards, if you really need a FLAC over an MP3. If you listen to music very loud, or on a sohpisticated system, and if it's dynamic music (as opposed to cheaply produced pop garbage), it's better to have a full quality source.
And of course if you one day start a DJ or producer career, you absolutely need high def source material. Can't play an MP3 over a festival PA.
