Are the Netflix Webrips (vs Web DLs) the untouched files? Aren't they natively in x265?

WEBRips are captured & re-encoded from the 4k stream, WEB-DL are untouched. 4K WEB-DL (HEVC) was patched a while ago so x264 encodes are all there are

Oh ok thanks. How are the videos obtained, are the streams able to be 'hijacked' and downloaded or is it done with a screen capture setup?
