Well if those x264 encodes are lagging I know you don't want the copies I have. Mine are all 1080p x265, which probably won't play for you at all if the x264 is taxing your hardware that much. :(

Well the thing is. Usually I import files to my mega cloud and cast them to my smart TV. And regardless of x265 or x264 all files play, EXCEPT those from silicon valley. Odd! There's this youtuber called Tristan Newcomb that makes really amazing puppet videos. They're a bit on the weird side and they're spectacular.
He has a few movies out, named Summer of the Chew Toy Soul and Jesus Hates You Now. Unfortunately, I think he has them really guarded since well the only way I've found is to pay for them to be able to watch them.
