What's your issue exactly? Mine was that my receiver only received a stereo signal, which shouldn't be the case since all multi channel audio is supposed to be passed through undecoded via SPDIF. Solution: Bitstream/SPDIF doesn't work with AAC Audio, so you gotta use a player that transcodes AAC to AC3. I'm using MPC-BE now.

hmmm okay, seemed as if it was just a player issue, had been using the inbuilt windows player (which has worked quite well for me in the past) but after looking at the comments, i grabbed the nightly vlc player and it is currently working
