I really can't, zippy's upload is super unstable and fails on me constantly. Are you sharing internet with a lot of people like at a university? If you are able to start a download with either Megadownloader or Jdownloader it should finish even if you pass the limit, are you never even able to start downloads?

No problem. It didn't start for ages, on jdownloader it was stuck seemingly in a loop, but after 3 hours it magically started downloading ¯_(ツ)_/¯ But yeah, usually if the file is over 1 or 2GB it tells me limit reached even before starting.

Jdownloader should only do that if you are downloading a chunk greater than 5GB but I have had better luck with large files starting in Megadownloader, nearly 100% success.

I think I've read the size of the limit is different in different countries. I'll try with megadownloader next time, cheers!

Yes, the limit is somewhat dynamic based on IP but the range is seems to be around 3.5GB - 6GB with most people getting around 5GB. It really sounds to me that you happen to live in an area with a lot of people downloading from Mega all the time and would benefit from a paid VPN service. Keep an eye out for Humble Cybersecurity bundles, I've seen cheap VPN service for a year included at the $5-10 bundles which in my opinion is a much better value than paying Mega $5 a month for a limited (although admittedly large) download allotment.
