is it the reencoded from the xvid source? if so, why?

It is re-encoded from the XviD source, yes it is weird that I re-encode them to x265 but there is a reason. I have noticed for myself that old XviD files don't play correctly on my KODI HTPC; the audio track tends to not match exactly with the video due to antiquated encoding methods so I either get audio 'popping' or if I force sync audio to video it will slow the audio slightly and make the music sound weird. By re-encoding at CRF18 with a variable frame rate, I can re-interpolate the frames so they sync properly with the audio again, I use x265 so I hit around the same file size as the XviD original (x264 re-encodes of XviD tend to expand a little).
