Cant be sure but for 26 episode, 5.3 GB does not seem like it would render the show very nicely (I understand this is x265 but still...), let alone the soundtrack.

I haven't watched this rip yet, but I have a 46GB rip (~2.5GB/episode) so I think this could be a lot better just from a statistical knee-jerk perspective.

Bluray for CB are shit, with a lot of interlacing errors (even the japanese set), EG's release fixes this mostly and is 61Gb in h264 (and dual audio)

Does it have the weird alterations made in the Remix DVD release some years ago?

I already have the original version anyway but if this is a high res re-release of that it would be nice to have.

Let me make a correction and I apologize to everyone for the confusion of my original post. I have not watched this release and according to another user this is not the bluray set as that file size is close to 40gb. I don't download many things as I purchase them so my experience of the bluray set comes from the physical copy. Having watched the dvd set and bluray set it looks entirely different. I don't remember any alterations but I might have missed them? Some other user stated the bluray set had some interlacing issues which I did not notice on my first watch. Just got a new tv and sound system so I need to break out the blurays and watch them again but I remember the audio sounding really good and the visual quality was increased quite a bit.

It is not on the level of the visual quality of the DBZ remastered blurays as they re-colored scenes but it looks damn good for being a show from the 90s.

Again, sorry for the confusion!

I only ask because of this slice of reddit history. I own the Remix DVD collection and downloaded the original. The original is just so much better. That post alleges the 2014 BR edition is from the altered source.

I was unaware of the changes in Remix as the dvds I watched were the OG releases. That being said...I didn't notice any changes with the bluray release but hell, man, the dvd watch was an easy 8 years ago and the br watch was back in 2014 when it came out.

It's very possible that post is correct and would be picked up on by someone who has watched the series many times. But nothing jumped out at me.

I'm just picky about the music really. For this show in particular it feels more important in setting the mood than usual.

I've been digging in to the US bluray release and it seems the complaints from other posters are not present in this release. The UK br release had interlacing issues, US one didn't. There is zero mention of using CB:Remix for the release, there's plenty of mentions that Funi scanned the original film footage for their US release.

Every review I'm reading praise the audio quality and not a single one references the Remix cut. There's a few random reviews (not professional review sites) that mention the US br release is of the original airing run of CB, not a reproduction of Remix.

Which makes sense that it doesn't seem out of place to me because I never watched the Remix cut.

Sounds good to me. Thanks for doing the research for me lol, you didn't have to but I appreciate it.

It wasn't a problem! You made me curious and I needed to figure out if I had to hunt down the OG dvds. Turns out I shouldn't have to now but you've also made me want to watch it on my new tv and sound system. So thank you, too!

this has the remix alterations. Easy to see in Session One, the change shown from non remix https://youtu.be/_stngsQ_6O0?t=117 to remix https://youtu.be/Yf48R459HSk?t=84 (frames missing after the cut).

TBH this thread sort of shows how it doesn't matter: no one in it could even tell

I never got around to downloading since I had quite a queue at the time but glad I didn't waste mega bandwidth now lol. Thanks for the heads-up.

26 episodes where sound is a big part of the show and yet only 5.3 GB. Honestly, Id recommend a different copy if youre interested in viewing, otherwise youll feel cheated that you didnt watch it with the perfect soundtrack.

This isn't the only copy I have but someone requested the show in x265 and this is what I had available

Sorry, no disrespect meant towards the upload. Only meant that this is an amazing series and you'd be doing yourself a disservice not getting whatever is best. Just a fan.

How do you download these? I've tried it through mega, but it keeps saying that I can't zip them all or something.

[-] Agret | 1 points | Oct 24 2017 05:54:52

I personally use JDownloader for mega and ZippyShare links

permalink

[-] ecchh | 1 points | Oct 24 2017 05:56:38

If you select all the files in the folder you should be able to right click and download them as a standard download without zipping them first

[-] Valtorix28 | 1 points | Oct 24 2017 19:47:48

Okay, I've down that and downloaded them, now what do I do? I'm sorry, I'm such a scrub at this...

but thank you for that

No problem. You'll need to have 7zip installed. Right click the first file (should have the extension .7z.001) and "extract here". 7zip should do the rest for you
