Set roughly ten years before the events of the original Star Trek, the series follows the crew of the USS Discovery as they discover new worlds and civilizations, while exploring the franchise's signature contemporary themes. The season-long story line revolves around an incident and an event in Star Trek history that's been talked about but never been explored.

The aspect ratio is off for me, anyone else?
meanwhile, Star.Trek.Discovery.S01E06.REAL.iNTERNAL.720p.WEB.x264-BAMBOOZLE is the first copy of this I've seen that doesnt appear to have a bunch of weird artifacts and a grainy look when playing on my samsung hdtv. Its like someone finally released a proper scene encode of this. and ive looked at almost every version of every episode so far, including ntb.

When and where is this broadcast in the US? I can’t find it on my lineup.
CBS All Access in the US. Netflix, Internationally. All Access is CBS's streaming service costing $6/mo that you'd have to have a subscription for to watch this show as it's exclusively only available on there.

So the broadcast company that I pay $$$ to receive via cable wants me to pay an extra $6 a month to watch a single show? Sounds like CBS is doing their damnedest to get me to use an alternative source.

Hmmm, why no 1080p in HEVC? To me it makes sense to gain the most from the smaller file size.
Encoding 1080p in HEVC takes a considerable amount of time. They will come eventually, from release groups such as PSA/RMTeam but usually 1-2 days after airing. I'll try and upload those too when they're available.
Please do, the 1080p version here is missing some parts, like when Burnam is explaining the katra in medical bay

Thanks for the info! If I can't wait, I'll dL the x264 and delete after watching. TV shows end up taking so much space, and it's usually easier to get the entire season if I want to binge watch later.

Are all these prematurely cut off, or just the 1080p WEBRip?

It was almost to the end but there is a brief conversation between the captain and his 1st officer that is missing, about how to proceed. If you want to see what they said without downloading another version, you can read the last few lines of the subtitles, starting with line 780 (Ackbar-ish).
