I was super hyped for this film, I'll still watch it but it's sad that it got bad reviews. I thought it was impossible to make a poor film with Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey as leads. Thanks for the upload!

Has anyone seen it? Why are the reviews so poor?

It's just a poorly written movie. I LOVED the books. I thought the cast was awesome, big budget production values. Just a piss poor screenplay. They somehow made this story super cheesy.

Hey, I just saw this movie. Listen, I know nothing about The Dark Tower series, except what I already knew from Stephen King books. How all the worlds are connected, books like The Shinning, IT, The Eyes of the Dragon. There's always this bad guy, or bad guys that are all connected in some way or form. It's a pretty interesting take on his books. How all these separate stories are in the same universes.
So, having said that. I went in to this movie with zero expectations. Again, I haven't read the books. I loved the concept of it. I love the Gunslinger, even the Sorcerer. I would like to have seen more of the world, but unfortunately, I believe they tried to pack all of the books into one movie. Which is a shame, but again, I liked it for what it was. I believe the cast was excellent and the action scenes were pretty amazing. Maybe it felt rushed, but I would like to see another movie about The Gunslingers in the future.
I sat through the whole film without getting distracted, something that seems to happen a lot now because I'd be browsing reddit or playing games. I stopped doing what I was doing and just sat and watched this film, which in my opinion was enjoyable. Sorta like how I liked the Assassins Creed movie for what it was and not for what everyone wanted it to be.
It sucks that this movie was a flop because that just means there might not be more Gunslinger in the future. Which sucks because the actor and the character were interesting. So I guess now I'll read the books. I really wanted this movie to be cool, when I first saw the trailers and the announcement. I'm glad to have seen it as it just piqued my curiosity.
