I thought the same thing so I asked about it at /r/audiophile. To summarize, a vinyl stores information in analog (and therefore has no bitrate). However, there is a method to calculate "Effective Number Of Bits" (that's what it's called btw). A vinyl is about 11-bits, but can use over 22-bits of information because of post-processing. Digitizing vinyl to 32-bit is essentially pointless, although it technically allows for less interference. I didn't rip the vinyl tho so don't blame me xD My source for everything is in this thread
