This is the one where they go to Japan (shot in Hawaii) and meet a bunch of Japanese people who eschew their native Japanese tongue, preferring to always speak in hilarious broken English (even when they are amongst themselves with no foreigners present).

You mean the faux bad English ruined it, or it was spoiled? The plot point about them going to Japan happens like in the first 5 minutes or something -- it's the whole premise of the movie, like how the 2017 IT is a movie with a scary (spoiler) clown in it. But I guess if you were in a state of suspense wondering if there would be subtitles showing up later in the movie, then I did ruin it for you: There are none, because none of the Japanese can speak Japanese! (Except maybe a few words sprinkled in like when Sensei, who speaks perfect English, nevertheless chooses to intersperse "hai" instead of saying "yes" -- just to remind you that he is Japanese, in case you forgot.)
