probably isn't the best spot for this comment but w.e.

after I saw Dunkirk, I started to think a bit more critically about Christopher Nolan, and his films just get worse and worse with time and further viewings.

To me, he seems like a close-minded "big idea" guy who thinks the world of himself. I think what he's actually talented at is creating a sense artificial hype and unanimous praise for his work.

And not I'm not just trying to shit on this guy for no reason. By all means, keep drinking the Kool aid if you like the way it tastes. But I don't think his films are as amazing or high concept as people say they are.

He reminds me a lot of Michael Bay

you cant compare Nolan with Bay, Nolan actual had some movies, where there was something behind the actual story (thinking of interstellar and inception here), while Bay is only plain action, overdone imo, check the last transformer movie.
