So far I've watched the 1st and part of the 2nd post-break episodes (E09 and part of E10), and I have to say, unfortunately, the writing so far has been lackluster. I'm having trouble motivating myself to finish the 2nd post-hiatus episode due to boredom and frustration with the plot. I hope it will get better. Maybe it will. I guess the main Walking Dead series has the same problem with lots of filler between exciting episodes (but you would think they could at least make a more compelling return-from-break episode).

It still is. This episode in particular was one of the best ones they've had in the series.
