if it's a bluray rip it's probably the 16:9 version

I bought the bluray set, it's really amazing to have this level of detail on a "old" tv show

They went over every scene one by one, bearing in my the cinematographer's opinion when it was shot. For some shots its cropped, but for majority it is not. When there are set equipment or other unwanted object in the shot they removed them with CGI.

No they actually used parts of the image around the 4/3 tv crop, you get to see more than when it aired !
