Filesizes are as follows for the 154 GB release:

本編DISC - 43.87 GB
本編DISC1 - 44.43 GB
本編DISC2 - 22.37 GB
本編DISC3 - 43.92 GB

~~u/SeekNets | Megalinks MegaDB u/SeekNets recently got his hands on some great sources for the movie Your Name, but would like the users' opinion on which version they would prefer to see. He writes:~~

~~Currently I'm looking at this anime movie Your Name | Megalinks MegaDB Your Name, comtemplating which version I should upload, or which people would prefer: one is 4K resolution [216.2 GB] and the other is in BDMV format [154.6 GB]. Which one would be preferred?~~

~~I know there might be some who already have a different version/encode of the movie already, but these two include the Special Features.~~

yikes, that's an awful lot for this anime. Plus the dub will be coming out at some point as well for those that care.

I don't know if either is really needed. I grabbed that 27GBish version off the google drive when they all got first released and was pretty happy with that quality. 216GB (granted 4k but still) or 154GB extras features or not ... this just feels like a lot.

I'm sure others will disagree, but that's just my couple pieces of copper

No the AACS 2.0 wasn't cracked. If you heard about the 4K release of The Smurfs 2 that disc had faulty keys.

I personally couldn't justify the throttling my internet would receive in exchange for such a large file but if I was going to id vote 4K, there doesn't really seem like a reason not to go the whole 9 yards as it were.

It's an anime movie, so normally I'd say none of the two because of the size of the files. It's A LOT for just one film. If space and internet usage are no issue then 4K would get my vote.

Why is it so big? It's just one anime, it should be 5-10 GB. Even in 4K, this is ridiculous.

It's uncompressed video across multiple discs. The special edition of the movie is four or five Blu-ray Discs at almost 50 GB each

Oh. It's uncompressed video, that's why. If it were compressed, it would clock in at around 2-3 gigabytes.

BluRay Remux! (with original audio and subtitles, not just an English dub track)

Edit: clarification

Dual audio master race or GTFO /s

Who says we can't enjoy both?
