Hey guys I thought I would also post my surround sound music collection as I have stuff the others don't have.
Enjoy.

Probably a dumb question. Are these "official" or like fan made

Most of these are official (from SACD, DVDA, Quad Vinyl) but some are fan made upmixes eg the Kanye, Muse and The Alchemist albums.
For Dark Side of the Moon I have the 5.1 SACD and Alan Parson's 4.0 mix from the original master tapes.

I've also got the Kraftwerk Catalogue 4x Bluray 3D set with Atmos audio if anyone is keen.

As much I'm a Pink Floyd fan, I've never listened to one of their 5.1 mixes - How does one play these files? Will they play through PLEX?
I'm not familiar with Plex, but from looking at it, it looks like you could do it. You'd just need something to decode the 5.1 surround signal at your end.

I play them in Kodi which Plex is based on so should work fine there

So I downloaded the last 2 sound collections to 100%. But the actual files were never saved to my computer. The folder said 4-10gb (whatever they were) but it only had the folders. I didn't use Mega Downloader to extract so I don't know what happened. Not placing blame or anything, I'm just curious how this happened twice.
Wait, 5.1 music is a thing? I've always hated how music only sounds stereo on my 5.1 system, where can I find more of this stuff, does anyone know?

Look for SACD (some are 5.1 and some aren't), DTS-CD, DVD-Audio, and Blu-ray Audio... there are all sorts of surround albums, and they've been around since the '70s (quadraphonic/"4.0" sound has been around since the '60s), but it it's never been a thing that's completely become mainstream.
Thank you. Can't believe it's not mainstream, why would anyone only want stereo when they can have better?!

When I found out that two of my favorite bands (Barenaked Ladies and XTC) had 5.1 releases of their albums, I was so excited.
The (actual, non-simulated) surround albums I've heard tend to go back and forth between feeling like being in the middle of a live performance and a surreal soundscape enveloping me in its sonic embrace!
