Enjoyed this show. Wasn't sure what it was going to be, it was a bit more serious than I thought it would be, but I think that's a good thing. Like a funny Star Trek. So many Trek homages... MacFarlane must be a Trekkie.

he's a huge trekkie. He did a panel discussion with some of the writers from TNG as an extra on one of the blu ray seasons. You could tell he knew his stuff, worth a watch if you're a Star Trek fan

I really enjoyed this show!! It had a couple silly jokes or moments that probably could have been left off, but it was altogether good. It does feel like Star Trek. In the same universe perhaps a different time. If they called the show Star Trek: The Orville, I would be 100% okay with that. Hopefully it will continue to impress.

The critics are brutalizing the show, but I enjoyed the first episode. Silly, but fun.
