Just as an aside. This series was 'rebooted' in 2014. The season lasted 10 episodes before it was canned.

Oddly enough Frank Spotnitz produced the show and he'd made a name for himself producing X Files, whose creator, Chris Carter, has said had been conceived due to his love of the Kolchak series as a child.

It's not very good tho if you get the chance to see it.
